Whats new with Neo2?

• With the new Text2Speech unit, NEO2 is now an easy to use, portable, talking word processor. Text can be read back by letter, word, sentence, or paragraph, and words are highlighted as they are read out. Text2Speech also works with the NEO2’s spell checker and thesaurus features. Connect to headphones for personalised use, or speakers for communication with others (requires System 3.8 and AlphaWord Plus 3.3 or higher).

• Incorporating technology from AlphaSmart’s successful Classroom Response System (CRS), NEO2 now enables teachers to create tests, ask questions, or take votes quickly and easily within their lessons. The results can instantly be shown on a screen or interactive whiteboard.

• With twice as much memory as Neo, NEO2 has room for more software applications. As well as Beamer and KAZ (the award winning typing tutor), NEO2 comes out of the box with Responder software. This additional software package allows teachers to set multiple choice, true/false, short answer questions and conduct on the fly voting sessions.

• Using wireless technology, NEO2 with the Receiver can print to a network printer, making this process much easier and more manageable in the classroom
