We have a vast range of hardware and software products available for evaluation and trial with the purpose being to evaluate the item to see if it meets the needs of the individual. Our team can support you prior to, during and after your trial with training, technical troubleshooting and evaluating suitability of the equipment.

In regards to laptop and iPad trials - we can load these up with software as required - providing we offer it.
If you would like something specific on the device then let us know at the time and we'll be sure to let you know what we can do.

Popular software for trials of laptops are WordQ, Clicker 7, Dragon Professional Individual, Office and Inspiration.

If you know what you would like to borrow please email atinfo@dtsl.co.nz with your request. Please include the Inventory ID codes of the items you are keen to evaluate, and we will organise this for you.

Equipment trial loan conditions
  • Equipment can be trialed for 10 days.
  • Paid Rental options are available for a selection of our devices if you require a longer trial period. Email or call us to discuss this option.
  • Should the equipment not operate properly when it arrives, you MUST notify us immediately upon noticing the malfunction and request instructions.
  • The ‘end date’ on the loan form is the date the equipment leaves your organization.
  • If the device has removable batteries, please take the batteries out prior to shipping.
  • If the trial return date is unable to be met, you are required to notify us at least 3 days prior to the return date.
  • If the equipment is not returned by the due date and no extension has been mutually agreed to then a late fee of $50/week will apply until the equipment is received by DTSL Assistive Technology.
  • The organization signing the Loan Agreement is liable for all costs if the equipment is damaged, lost or stolen.
  • The equipment is to be returned to DTSL Assistive Technology in suitable protective packaging via a courier or post tracked system at the borrowers own cost. DTSL Assistive Technology must be advised of the tracking number once the equipment has been sent.
